LG recently started pushing a new update to LG G4’s international version, the update carries the prefix “V20D”, the update comes with an improved battery life and overall stability, apart from that, the update also contains Google’s monthly Android security patch. The update is currently rolling out over the air. However, people who are using phones with unlocked bootloader can’t get the update.

Fortunately, we have a manual method for people who are willing to install the update can do so by following a very simple guide.


Update LG G4 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow V20D

1. Fire up LGUP and connect your phone; your phone will be listed there (image below)












2. Choose ‘Upgrade’, click on ‘File Path’ and then navigate to the folder where you have the KDZ file placed.

3. Once you has selected the KDZ file, simply press the ‘Start’ button at the bottom and wait for the upgrading process to finish.
