Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was released last month on PC, the game was received positively and was considered the best Assassins’s Creed since Black Flag. While the game ran rather smoothly on PC despite having the same engine as Unity, there was one small problem. The cloth physics, for some odd reason ran at 30 frames per second while the game itself ran on 60 frames per second. Now to an ordinary gamer, it wouldn’t have been noticeable but for those who have spent thousands of dollars on their rigs, this was a problem.
Luckily, Ubisoft has learned from its mistakes and released a latest patch that reportedly fixes that issue. Players should keep in mind that this update also adds support for Jack the Ripper DLC. Along with that, Ubisoft also resolved a number of other bug fixes that were reportedly hindering the experience. You can check out the complete change-log below.
• Added DLC Jack The Ripper support
• Added additional parameter to AC.ini for disabling cloth motion 30FPS limits
• Fixed crash in multi-monitor mode in London
• Fixed FXAA with enabled MSAA
• Fixed changing of display in fullscreen mode issues
• Fixed flickering panel inWorld Map
• Fixed various render issues
• Fixed several online issues
• Minor UI improvements
Sadly enough, you still have to make the changes manually in order to turn off the 30 frame per second limit on the cloth. Ubisoft was kind enough to provide the method on how to on their official forum post.
In the AC.ini file located in “MyDocuments/Assassins Creed Syndicate”, modify the FlexibleMotionSimulationFPSparameter found in the “[OPTIONS]” section as follows:
·To enable the cloth setting: FlexibleMotionSimulationFPS=1
·To disable the cloth setting: FlexibleMotionSimulationFPS=0

The update is currently available on both UPlay and Steam.
