Fallout 4 is a mixed bag of crazy cats, some people love it, others think it isn’t worth the hype. However, there is one thing that all of us agree upon; the graphics. Fallout 4 is a game that looks the same as Fallout 3, this is sad mainly because people waited 7 years for something new. Thankfully, the modders are working hard to make the game look better than it normally does.
If you are a PC gamer, you must be familiar with ENB, this is somewhat of a visual tweak that overhauls how the game looks, mostly, ENB is used in games like Skyrim and GTA IV, and now it can be used in Fallout 4 as well. Do keep in mind that the visual enhancements can only go so far and they won’t completely overhaul the game. You can still check some screen shots in the post and decide for yourself.
- First off, you are going to need the latest binary for ENB > download.
- Open the Wrapper Version folder and copy d3d11.dll & d3dcompiler_46e.dll into the main folder of Fallout 4.
- Download Vanilla ENB from here, extract the contents and put them in the main Fallout 4 folder, overwrite if you are prompted.
- You can then configure enblocal according to your preferred style.
Do keep in mind that unlike Skyrim, you won’t have to disable anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering. This is because at the moment, ENB doesn’t have to do anything with the implementation of these features.
