Adjust Field of View in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is no doubt a beautiful looking game on PC, probably one of the finest actually. However, there is a slight problem with the game that makes the experience not so pleasant, the default field of view doesn’t do justice to the huge open world in the game. Luckily, the game allows modifications to some extent and we have a method that will let you increase or decrease the field of view in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, do keep in mind that this doesn’t have any major impact on the performance if you’re using a high end PC, however, on low end PCs, things can get pretty messy. For some odd reason, the anti-aliasing in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom pain doesn’t work as good as it should and despite being cranked to the max, the anti-aliasing still gives you jagged edges. However, if you want to increase or decrease the FOV, the workaround is rather simple. Just checkout the simple steps below and enjoy.

  1. Download the FOV tweak > download.
  2. Extract the contents of the zip file to your game folder.
  3. Open the fov.cfg using notepad and adjust the FOV according to your preference.
