Most Popular Android Phones of 2015

2016 is almost upon us, which means that we will get to see more and more powerful devices coming out the next year. However, 2015 wasn’t bad at all, the year graced us with some of the best devices from the likes of Samsung, LG, and Motorola, while companies like HTC and Sony had to struggle with what they introduced in the market.

In short, 2015 had a lot of Android devices to choose from, the inventory was diverse enough to offer choice between high end and low end phones all together, maintaining the overall harmony. We are here to take a look at the best and the most popular Android phones of this year. So without wasting any more time, let’s do some digging.

Note: Considering how we have had so many devices this year, it was rather difficult to fit in all the devices. However, we tried our best to make sure we cover devices from all the levels. So without further ado, let’s get started and take a look at the most popular Android phones of 2015.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 didn’t come as a surprise, it was pretty evident from the release of Galaxy S6 that the Note 5 is only going to up the ante, and that happened without a doubt. Galaxy Note 5 is a big, beautiful slab of glass that is not only gorgeous, but quite simply the most powerful device in the market. It has top of the line Exynos SoC, beautiful QHD Super AMOLED screen, the iconic s-pen and the makings of a tank. Not to mention the camera is known for taking absolutely stunning photos.

Moto X Style/Pure Edition

Motorola took the world by storm earlier this year and announced Moto X Style or also known as Moto X Pure Edition. This was the 3rd Moto X we have seen over the years, sadly the last 2 iterations weren’t impressive to begin with but that isn’t the case with this one, this time, Motorola took everything that made the previous Moto X bad phones and improved it. We got a beautiful looking device with almost completely stock experience and an impressive camera — and when we say impressive, we mean impressive enough to match the LG G4 which happens to be the best camera phone money can buy right now.

Moto G (2015)

Moto X Style was the high end phone, but for those who are not willing to spend a lot of money but still want a capable enough device, you guys can go for Moto G 2015, the device is a low-ranger but the best of its class. The phone doesn’t need any introduction, after all, this was the reason Moto G made Motorola so successful. The phone features almost stock Android and has enough power to perform decently. Moto G is the best phone for people who are tight on budget.

Huawei Nexus 6P

This should come as no surprise, we heard a lot of rumours about Huawei making the Nexus phone and the rumours finally made up to a beautiful Nexus 6P, the beautifully crafted from “aeronautical-grade anodized aluminium”. In simpler words, the phone is sturdier, lighter and overall prettier as compared to the other Nexus phones we have seen over the year. Did we mention it is also few of the devices that come with Type-C USB. Apart from that, the Nexus 6P also comes with a fingerprint sensor that is basically the fastest we have seen in the market. That being said, the Nexus 6P also resolves a huge issue with the camera that has plagued the Nexus phone for years.

LG G4

When LG announced the G4 earlier this year, it was pretty obvious that the company meant business, the G4 was everything the original G3 was and more. LG decided to steer clear from the controversial Snapdragon 810 and decided to choose stabler Snapdragon 808, on paper, the LG G4 is an impressive device with an even impressive camera, the camera on the rear is a 16 megapixel shooter with f/1.8 aperture, that is the best in the market, even better than the likes of Galaxy S6 and Note 5, the camera also has a colour spectrum sensor that gives the device the ability to detect colours properly according to the scene you’re shooting in. Not to mention, the phone is able to take pictures in RAW format and has the ability to choose your own shutter speed. This results in some of the most fantastic pictures with a lot of details and according to the testimonials we have heard, the LG G4 has a camera on par with your DSLR cameras.
