As you may or may not know, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been released for Google Nexus devices. Now comes the time for other companies to release statements regarding the updates coming on non-Nexus devices. Sony seems to be interested in letting the consumers know about the list of devices that will be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, the company didn’t provide any ETA, but considering the history, the updates might start rolling out by the end of this year or the start of 2016. Let’s take a look at the list of devices that will be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

  • Xperia Z5
  • Xperia Z5 Compact
  • Xperia Z5 Premium
  • Xperia Z4 Table
  • Xperia Z3+
  • Xperia Z3
  • Xperia Z3 Compact
  • Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
  • Xperia Z2
  • Xperia Z2 Tablet
  • Xperia M5
  • Xperia C5 Ultra
  • Xperia M4 Aqua
  • Xperia C4*.

That’s a pretty long list there and it includes some of the mid-rangers too. Of course, the Z1 won’t be getting the update considering how it outlived the 2 year update cycle. It’s probably the last major update for Xperia Z2 as well. We’ll keep you updated about more news from Sony.
