Ever since the LG G4 was released, we knew that there was going to be another phone from LG that’ll have higher standards than the G4 itself. However, things were kept in dark and apart from few leaks and rumours, we didn’t get much. Well, this time, the device finally stepped out of the dark. The latest phone from LG is called LG V10 and it is everything a smartphone enthusiast would want. In simpler words, LG took the G4 and improved it by leaps and bounds. Without wasting any time, let’s take a look at how impressive the device is.

It’s evident enough that the phone is not the joke, while all the specs are appealing, the most interesting bit is the secondary screen here. The rest of the specs are pretty identical to the G4 apart from some minor upgrades here and there. The built quality of the phone is quite sturdy too, for those who want to know some technical details, the LG V10’s frame has been built using SAE grade 316L stainless steel, this is the same material used in surgical tools and high-end watches, the phone’s frame also uses Dura Guard that will be protecting the device from any wear and tear it can be subjected to, lastly, there’s a Dura Skin coating on the back and the bottom of the coating. All of this will make sure that the phone is much more sturdy with an amazing grip. However, that’s not the surprising bit, the LG V10 comes with MIL-STD-810G Transit Drop Compliant for shock rating.
Considering how this is mainly a multimedia device, LG left no stone unturned and introduced a 32-bit Hi-Fi DAC electronic processor, the phone will also use Qualcomm’s QFE2550 closed-loop antenna tuning solution for better voice quality and wider network coverage. The button placement is your usual deal, however, LG has put in a fingerprint scanner inside the home-button that will unlock the phone with a single tap, apart from that, you’ll be able to use Android Pay to make purchases too.
What’s With the Second Screen
Yes, the LG V10 will come with a 2nd screen, this is basically a smaller screen that will be providing useful information to the user without actually turning on the screen. The screen only measures at 2.1 inches and has a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels. The second screen will work on its own and you can decide whether or not you want the screen to stay always on, whatever the case, the screen won’t have any impact on the battery.
The second screen can be used to display information such as date, time, weather, and battery percentage when main screen is off, however, as soon as you turn on the main screen, the second screen will serve as a launching area for your most used apps. This concept might be confusing for some, considering how we don’t have a demo video as of yet.
Pricing and Availability
Everyone would want to know when the LG V10 will be launching and how much will it cost, well, it will certainly cost more than the LG G4, as for availability, the phone will be available to purchase in South Korea this month, followed by a release in countries like; United States, China, Latin America, the Middle East as well as some select countries in Asia.
