It would be safe to say that 2015 proved to be an amazing year for gaming so far and we still have 4 more months for several AAA games including Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain, Mad Max, Fallout 4 and other games to come.
We have decided to take a look back at industry’s finest games so far, however, due to ample releases this time, we’ll be giving more focus to the major titles that were released, so without any further ado, let’s take a look at the best games of 2015 so far.
Exclusion of The Witcher 3 would be an injustice to the list as well at the game itself. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is quite simply one of the best games to come out this year, the game is an epic journey into the world of Witcher and the last time we will be stepping in the shoes of the White Wolf. Witcher 3 is the perfect example of role-playing games should be made; it has a fantastic combat, engaging and dark story, huge open world — sprawling with danger and exotic locations and dangerous monsters. The game has received rave reviews from the critics all over the world and is a strong contender for Game of The Year.
Despite all the controversies surrounding the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight, the game, no doubt, is one of the finest we have seen this year, the game marks the final ride of the Dark Knight as he goes against Arkham Knight, the game has been getting positive reviews and is considered the best game of the franchise. The game offers a lot of new additions including the legendary Bat-mobile that has been long awaited by the gamers, not to forget, the overall story-line moves at a different pace and tone considering how Joker is no longer playing the cards.
In an era where first-person shooters and online games at large, seeing and playing a fighting game is sight to sore eyes and something that will give you sore thumbs. Mortal Kombat X is the tenth major installment in the series and features new and recurring characters. The game was released on PS4, Xbox One and PC. PS3 and Xbox 360, the reviews for Mortal Kombat directs the game towards critical success and the game has been called the best Mortal Kombat to date by a lot of reviewers.
Ori and the Blind Forest took everyone by surprise by its cuteness, but don’t be fooled, the game is quite demanding when it comes to the difficulty level but at the same time it manages to make sure you jump on the train of feelings, the game offers a gorgeous open world that needs to be explored by the extremely cute and little fur-ball of a protagonist named Ori, the game offers one of the finest backdrop arts we have seen in the games recently and the surprising thing is, it is nothing like what you’d expect in modern games, it is simply and highly pleasing to look at.
Bloodborne is the perfect game for any masochistic gamer out there, the game is is grueling and brutally punishing and that is the best thing about it. Take Dark Souls and refine it in almost every aspect and you get Bloodborne, the game offers impressive, dark, gothic world filled with tormented monsters of all sorts, and then you have powerful weapons and armours to help you fight these monsters who will be coming in your way every now and then. Bloodborne is easily one of the best games that came out this year.
