- Before proceeding, make sure you have taken backup of all your important data likes images, videos, messages and emails.
- You have installed OnePlus One USB Driver on your PC.
- Your device must have custom recovery like TWRP installed.
- Your device must have more than 60 percent or more battery available.
- This tutorial is only for OnePlus One. Don’t try to install it on other variants.
How to Install HydrogenOS Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on OnePlusOne
Step 1: Download HydrogenOS Android 5.0.2 Lollipop ROM for OnePlus One to your computer.
Step 2: Now, connect your device to your computer using the USB cable.
Step 3: Copy the HydrogenOS ROM and place the file to the root directory of your phone memory/SD Card.
Step 4: Now, turn the device off and disconnect the USB cable.
Step 5: Now, its time to get in the recovery mode. Switch ON the phone while pressing and holding Volume Down + Power buttons together.
Step 6: Once you are in the recovery mode (TWRP) perform the full data by tapping the Wipe button and swipe on Swipe to Factory Reset option.
Step 7: Now, go to the main menu and tap on the install button. Now, select the zip file that you have copied in the phone.
Step 8: Once done, select Swipe to Confirm Flash option. Now the installation will start and it may take several minutes.
Step 9: Once the installation is completed select “Wipe Cache/Dalvik button”.
Step 10: Now, restart your phone by selecting Reboot System Button. After a fresh installation, the first boot may take around 5 minutes.
That’s it. Your device is now running on HydrogenOS Custom ROM. Now, go to settings > About Phone to verify the device.
