A big day for Android users in Pakistan, Google has officially announced that Android One is making its way to Pakistan. For those who don’t know, Android One is Google’s collaboration with different brands to make sure the phones get the latest Android updates imminently as they are launched. Previously, this program was available in India via MicroMax and now, Google has launched it in Pakistan as well, the brand selected is the famous QMobile who’s already dominating the market with cheap and good smartphones.
The phone is now available at all the retailers in Pakistan and retails at $110 (PKR 11,500) just like all the other Android One phones, QMobile A1 will be featuring quality hardware that includes a 1.3 gigahertz quad core processor, 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 mega pixel front camera. There will be 1 gig of RAM and a 4.5 inches of IPS display with supposedly 720p resolution. The phone will also come with 8 gigs of internal storage with expandable micro SD card slot; all of this will be powered by a 1,700 mAh battery. The phone will be booting Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will be receiving updates directly from Google.
