Sony will be releasing Android 5.1.1 for Xperia Z3 and Z2 this month, both these phones are already running on the latest Android 5.0.2 and the company just released another version of the update. However, this version is only for some of the European based carriers, but unlike some other carrier based firmwares, this one comes without any carrier bloatware so users can install it without any hassle.

The only thing that apart from some small, under the hood changes is the new boot animation; considering how this firmware is intended for T-Mobile users, updating your phone to this firmware will also change the bootanimation. If you are the type of the user who likes to have the latest update install, we will be posting guides for both phones soon and if you don’t want to go through the hassle of having the latest build number, simply wait for Sony to release Android 5.1.1.

We’ll keep the users update as soon as there are more news.
