We have been hearing news that Sony is about to release a new batch of bootloaders that will allow boot from the recovery partition. For those who don’t know, this feature wasn’t available on the Sony phones before. According to the reportsl; the bootloaders are already rolling out to Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia T3, Xperia M2 and Xperia E3 with more devices to follow soon.

To install the bootloader, all you need is the official Sony Flash Tool, install it run it. Once it’s up and running; turn off your device, hold the volume down key and plug in the USB cable. Green LED will light up on your phone showing you that the phone has been recognised. Once your device has been recognised, look for bootloader upgrade that says ‘Open Devices’ and flash the bootloader.
