We have some good news for the owners of Samsung’s old flagship device Galaxy S2 I9100. A ROM for Galaxy S2 has been released by a third party developer and is based on CyanogenMod 12.1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The ROM comes with all the features of Lollipop including the material design UI, performance improvements and long battery life.
This new custom ROM is completely optimized for Galaxy S2 but because the ROM is currently in beta phase so you may expect some minor bugs. Before proceeding, we need to remind our readers that this ROM is a custom ROM made by some third party developers and has nothing to do with Samsung. So, if you are ready to test this ROM on your beloved Android device, then you need to follow the guide below on how you can install this Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S2.
- Before proceeding, make sure you have properly taken the backup of your important data including personal photos and videos.
- Your device should have more than 60 percent battery to prevent any unexpected shutdowns during the process.
- You have installed the Samsung Galaxy S2 USB drivers on your PC.
