After several obstacles and delays; the much awaited Oxygen OS from OnePlus is finally here. Carl Pei of OnePlus stated, ““Our goal for OxygenOS is to provide faster, more meaningful updates and a better-integrated range of services for every OnePlus user,” according to Carl Pei the main reason of developing Oxygen OS was having more focus on battery life and performance instead of all the useless bloatware and gimmicks.

At this point of time; Oxygen OS looks a lot like stock Android which in my opinion is a good thing. The Oxygen OS is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The main difference between Oxygen OS and CM11s is the gesture support that was previously supported it in Oppo’s Colour OS. We also have a lot of other improvements like quick settings.
