AMD released it’s Catalyst 15.3 drivers about a week ago. Upon closer inspection done by Guru3D, it is revealed that the entire upcoming Rx 300 GPU series is listed in the drivers. The news is quite amazing for those who have been waiting for the series. However, there is a bad news as well. Seems like almost all the GPUs of the series will be rebrands of the older GPUs from AMD.

Below is almost all the AMD Radeon Rx 300 series. The missing ones are Rx 380/38x and Rx 390/390x.

  • AMD665F.1 = “AMD Radeon R9 360″
  • AMD6610.2 = “AMD Radeon(TM) R7 350X”
  • AMD6610.3 = “AMD Radeon(TM) R5 340X”
  • AMD6611.10 = “AMD Radeon R7 340″
  • AMD665F.1 = “AMD Radeon R9 360″
  • AMD6660.1 = “AMD Radeon(TM) R5 M330″
  • AMD6660.2 = “AMD Radeon(TM) R5 M330″
  • AMD6660.3 = “AMD Radeon(TM) R5 M330″
  • AMD6778.8 = “AMD Radeon R5 310″
  • AMD6811.1 = “AMD Radeon R9 370″

The source further broke it down for us and revealed that the R9 370 will be based on Radeon 7870 or R9 270. The R9 380 is currently missing from the list but if it is to be speculated it will be the rebranding of R9 280/R9 280x. But it’s too soon to speculate. Seems like the only new GPUs that will be coming will be R9 390/R9 290x.
