The popular free texting app called WhatsApp recently announced a voice calling feature on the Android version. The feature would let any WhatsApp user running Android Kitkat or higher to call the people in their contact list. Though both should have the voice calling feature enabled.

You can now enable this feature on your devices running iOS as well and the best part is that it doesn’t take much of a hassle. All you need is some iOS know-how and you’re all good to go. Despite WhatsApp adding the call button on the iOS version, however, the feature is actually available to a handful of beta testers. So how can the other lot get the feature? Step 1: The first thing you will be needing to do is have jailbroken device, if you’re running iOS 8.2 (latest) you’re not lucky enough since the jail-break is currently not available. Previous versions are jail-broken and will run without any issues. However, the iOS 8.2 Beta 2 can be jail-broken. If you’re already running a jail-broken device, then you can skip this step.

Step 2: Once you are done with jail-breaking, you will need to download the latest beta version of WhatsApp from Cydia.

Step 3: Once the WhatsApp has been installed and activated, you need to ask someone who is already using this function on their phone to give you a call; once they do, the calling feature on your WhatsApp will be enabled as well.
