We are almost 2 months down in 2015 and we are already being greeted by so many wonderful devices already. Plus, MWC 2015 is just around the corner and we can expect several amazing Android devices debuting. So far we have confirmation that Samsung will be bringing the big guns like Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. So far we also know that HTC will be bringing in the HTC One M9 and as for Sony; things aren’t much exposed but considering how the Japanese giant recently released Xperia E4 with a refreshed design, we are hoping that the Xperia Z4 along with the tablet variants will be making an appearance. Here’s to hoping LG has something for us as well.
So which smartphone do you think will be ruling the 2015? We have speculated a list of 5 Android devices that will be coming in the year 2015. Let’s take a look at them.
Samsung Galaxy S6
The first device is Samsung’s next big thing. After the disappointing debut by Samsung Galaxy S5, fans and loyal customers had a little left out for the Galaxy S6. However, the recent rumours and leaks are really promising. The phone is set to be unveiled on 1st March at MWC. That’s just 2 days away. We are expecting Samsung Galaxy S6 to be a really big improvement over its predecessor. So far, it is confirmed that the phone will come with a Snapdragon and an Exynos variant and will supposedly have a QHD screen as well. Not to forget, we are also looking at an all-metal unibody.
Sony Xperia Z4
Sony has been pretty silent about their upcoming flagship. We have already seen Sony releasing Xperia E4 that featured a rounded design. However, a lot of analysts are predicting that Xperia Z4 might be Sony’s last flagship phone. This is because despite being amazing devices, the Xperia Z series is marred by poor sales. Since it is still a rumour, we can’t say much but let’s just hope it’s not a true one.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
Galaxy S6 is not the only weapon in Samsung’s arsenal this year. The Korean giant is also coming up with Galaxy S6 Edge. This will be the second phone to come with a curved display; first one being Galaxy Note Edge. However, the unique thing about Galaxy S6 Edge is that the display will be curved on both sides. As far as other technical details go, we don’t have much but if the rumours are true, the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 will share identical specifications apart from the screen, of course.
HTC One M9
HTC One M9 (codenamed: Hima) will be the successor to the HTC One M8. However, the good thing is that the HTC has decided to get rid of the dual camera setup. Rumours suggest that the front camera will be a 5 mega pixel UltraPixel unit while the back camera will be a massive 20 megapixel snapper. This sounds too good to be true but let’s hope we get what we have been expecting. Also, the legendary BoomSound speakers are making a return but this time, the phone will be powered by Dolby Digital audio enhancement. The design didn’t change much at all but it’s more refined HTC One M8. Take a look at the render we have below.
LG took the world by surprise by releasing LG G3 last year. The phone was quickly received with positive reviews and was hailed one of the best smart phones for years to come. Though we don’t have any confirmation about LG taking the stage at MWC, 2015. But chances of LG G4 showing up pretty high. For those who don’t know, LG G3 was the first phone to come with a 2k screen, according to the rumours and leaked documentations, the LG G4 will be coming with 3k screen. Rest of the specs are unknown but we are hoping that there are hints of metal on the chassis. MWC is only 2 days away, folks. Let’s see what devices are in store for us.
Stay tuned for the entire coverage of MWC.
