PSN Down, many users are facing serious issues with PlayStation Network today. Reports are coming that huge amount of users are unable to sign in to the PSN services like the friends list and online game-play. PlayStation is aware of this problem and they have updated all their followers on their official Twitter account. Turns out that PlayStation is facing Heavy Network traffic and their engineers are already working on it to fix it as soon as possible.

The heavy Network traffic could be a DDOS attack. Some websites are reporting that this Network traffic could be because of large amount of PSN sign ups at the same time but the thing is it doesn’t make sense at all. If you’re experiencing difficulty in signing up at PSN then it’s because of the Network Traffic. It’s clear that Sony needs a new and improved structure to counter such traffic issues otherwise this will become a major cause of PSN failure.
