After the unveiling of Kit Kat and Samsung’s big announcement, Google snuck out another update for the Android Distribution Charts.
The biggest change in pie chart is the subtraction of Donut and Eclair (versions 1.6 and 2.1 respectively) as they don’t support Google PlayStore too. According to the Google, only 1.3% devices use these versions.
Froyo only dropped 1% from last month to 2.4% and Gingerbread is down to 30.7% from 33.1%. Ice Cream Sandwich went from 22.5% to 21.7%, a small drop. Of course, Jelly Bean continues to gain pie share, moving from 40.5% to a nice 45.1%.
The pie chart does not show the percentage of Kit Kat version 4.4 , its mean they are not yet installed in any device . As manufactures working on the updating of their devices, it may be possible that Kit Kat will debut in next month.
