Huawei Ascend P6 is said to be world slimmest smartphone. The China mobile company is growing bigger and bigger in both competitions (Software and Hardware) as this phone shows which have the unique and powerful features packed inside the beautifully designed body that have nice surroundings and performance as well.

Huawei Ascend P6 introduced in July and now available in the market and this is our very first review about it. The Ascend P6 is 6.2mm slim, edging ahead of even the impressively slim Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The Ascend P6 is powered by the company’s home-brewed chipset – the K3V2 – featuring a quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A9 processor, a 16-core GPU and 2GB of RAM.

huawei-ascend-p6-TECHjeepAs you can see that Huawei Ascend P6 is quite slim (6.2mm) and also have unique features but fails to deliver some ordinary feature like there is no user-replaceable battery and also not able to give NFC and LTE support to the users.

For LTE and NFC support you have to go for Huawei Ascend P2 which is already introduced in Barcelona but there is not big difference in specifications the only main difference between is the beautifully designed body of Huawei Ascend P6 which is more upper ranged phone then Ascend P2.

In retail package Huawei Ascend P6 comes with USB cable, Handset, AC adapter and a transparent rubber case for protection. The box is looking quite good, made with cardboard case and individually packed in a container that looks good.

Design and build-Quality:

The slim profile can claims most of the credit but looks good due to build quality, the brushed metal finish of the rear, the curved bottom and the assertive angular frame. Front with home keys that are only visible when screen is on makes phone attractive and button free touch. The aluminum sides look suspiciously similar to the iPhone 4/4S design, but it’s an accent that works well here.

With 4.7″ display, phone is no small in size but looks really cool due to its side strips touch and light weight. All bits fitted perfectly together and there is also no cheap-looking piece so far. The entire front is protected by a piece of Gorilla Glass, while the back is nicely textured like brushed metal. The frame around the sides is made out of aluminum, this combination made this phone brilliant. Handling of this phone is quite great due to large size and slim edges this comes fits in hand and also made phone easy for one hand use.

The Huawei Ascend P6 has a 4.7″ IPS+ LCD of 720p resolution. This works out on a 312ppi which is also same as of Apple Iphone 5. This phone offers a wide range of colors and have no sub viewing angle through which its display is impressive with a wide contrast. Brightness of this phone seems cool and also controls through android notification bar. Finally, the 4.7″ IPS 720p touchscreen is also highly sensitive thanks to the Magic Touch tech, which allows you to use it even with gloves, a feature that will surely come in handy in cold weather.

Huawei Ascend P6 runs 4.2(Jelly Bean) and based with Emotion UI 1.6, the result is very simple and user friendly flat interference with no application drawer (like iphone), however in this interface this seems very fast and also have very low crash rate in applications. This phone may comes closer to IOS users as the interface of this phone and iphones are almost same with no application drawer. Normal home screen locker unlocks the screen if get to right and just like HTC smartphones when music player is running the lock screen shows the music controls.

The Huawei Ascend P6 has an 8MP camera for maximum image resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. It also have LED flash through which you can take images sharply without the interference of external light. The camera interference looks quite standard as contains Shutter button, toggle button between image and video, the fun stuff like color changer and different effects are hidden in the advanced menu. From the advanced menu you can choose between Single, Smart, Beauty, HDR, Panorama and Effect modes, decent 8MP camera able to get the sharp images at large resolution so that it reduces the noises of images and video recording on 1080p also raise the importance of this smartphone. It also have 5MP front face camera through which you can use you phone as a mirror and also useful for Skype video-calling.
