Ever thought of playing PS2 games on your PC? No? Well you can do it now, if you have a PC. Today, We are going to tell you how to run PS2 games on your PC. This is a simple guide and it will help you to run all PS2 games smoothly without any lag. All you need is a good PC and set the configurations We are going to tell you.

For running PS2 games, your system must have these specifications:
Minimum Requirements:

Processor: Intel Dual Core or Core 2 Duo
Ram: 2 GB

GPU: Nvidia Geforce 9600GT

Recommended Requirements:

Processor: Intel Core i3 or Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

Ram: 4 GB or 6 GB

GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 6870

Installing the Emulator

  • First of all you need to download the emulator for running PS2 Games. Download the emulator (PCSX2 1.0) from here.
  • PCSX2 comes in 3 flavors, full installer, web installer and binary. Full installer has the DirectX web installer bundled, web installer optionally downloads it from the internet, and binary is only the program with the plugins. Download the one you prefer or if you don’t know which, the full installer.
  •  Run the installer (if you downloaded the installer) or if you downloaded binary open the archive and extract its contents into a folder. (e.g. C:\PCSX2)

Download PS 2 bios from internet. You can find it easily by searching in Google, and place it in the bios folder of the emulator.

Now to setup the plugins.

Now, select the settings of your choice. The first option (GS) has setting that allows you to use DX9/10/11 capabilities. Choose the one according to your GPU and Processor capabilities. The second option is the controller settings either you can use keyboard or a controller for it.  The third option is for sound capabilities. Leave it as it is. The forth one CDVD has two options either you want to run disk, or mounting  a disk or you can simply select the iso and it will start working. For running an ISO you need to change it to Linuz Iso CDVD v0.9.0.
