A little nice phone which looks quite fresh from inside and outside. A cheap little phone with Dual Sim get fit in the Asha family, However it is looking that Nokia is now going to make Asha with minimum investment and going to spent more on their Lumia family. After the Symbian, Nokia asha is the series that is providing much earnings to Nokia and also got respect in the market as they deserves.

It is looking that after the expensive Nokia Lumia series they are going to offer something cheap and attractive product to the uses as this phone have 3″ capacitive screen that is making big differences in this and other Asha phones, a fixed focus 3MP camera with the low resolution but it have WiFi and some other networking features with a cheap and affordable price then you might go with Asha 501. But it is not all about the feature, it is a good looking phone having a battery with cool stand-by.

There is only room for the basics in Nokia Asha 501 package. This phone have an old generations Nokia charger with a Pink Handsets and there’s a 4GB microSD card also comes in the box but there is no any USB cable in the box which is unexpected.

Design of this phone is looking an old generation with the cool back covers, Nokia can make the design of this phone more attractive but it not so. On front there is 3″ Touch screen with low resolution, the bigger problem with the screen is large black coat body around it but it provides good response to the users as it have scratch resistance coating on it. The hardware back buttons comes under the screen with an earpiece on top and also have a microphone on right bottom corner. There is no brightness sensor but have a proximity sensor that turns the screen off during phone call.

Nokia Asha 501 breaks down to two parts that is the most solid body after unibody. The back shelves usually folds around the inner body and provides much protection to the phone if it fall down, due to this your phone is provided with much protection from breakage. On the back there is 3MP camera lens with a NOKIA logo, we see that there is no flash with the camera that’s why this is not good to take over other smartphones camera.

The display fitted on this smartphone is 3″ screen with TFT, QVGA screen with the resolution(240 x 320),and having pixel density(133ppi). This is low standard screen which comes from the Nokia, However it has multi touch which comes in contact with the users in attractive way. Screen is as bright as it can but however size and resolution matters. Browsing webs, watching movies and playing low end games will not have much cool experience on this phone.

The Asha 501 has a 3.15 MP camera which is capable of capturing images of up to 2048 x 1536 resolution. The camera interface is quite simple and offers only shutter button and a toggle key to shift from camera to camcorder and camcorder to camera. The camera have a good resolution but no LED flash that may decrease the value of this phone in the market as this camera will totally fail in low light.
