Microsoft is going to bring back the traditional Start button in Windows 8.1 which was removed in Windows 8. The Start button will have an access to Start screen but it doesn’t include the Start menu.  The Start button will look identical to the existing Windows flag used in the charm bar. The removal of Start button was the number one change and many users didn’t like it.

The customer feedback on the removal of Start button was mixed and many users didn’t install Windows 8 just because of no Start button. We may see the Start button in Windows 8.1 public preview if not then wait for the final build to release later this year.
